We are seeking an experience Project Manager to join our Global Construction team and coordinate the successful execution of our large-scale semiconductor fabrication facility construction project. This role will be responsible for providing strategic oversight and guidance to the local construction management team, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight and Collaboration:
    • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the local Project Manager and construction management team.
    • Collaborate with the local team to create and maintain a comprehensive project plan, including schedule, budget, and risk mitigation strategies.
    • Regularly review project progress, identify and address potential issues proactively.
    • Ensure clear and consistent communication with the Global Construction team and other collaborators on project status, risks, and decisions.
  • Global Integration and Standards:
    • Champion the company's global project management standards and best practices, ensuring their implementation on the local project.
    • Collaborate with internal and external partners at the global level, including engineering, procurement, and equipment teams.
    • Manage communication and information flow between the local project and Global Construction headquarters.
  • Contract Management and Risk Mitigation:
    • Review and approve local contracts with subcontractors and vendors.
    • Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and quality standards.
    • Proactively identify and manage project risks, developing and implementing mitigation plans.
  • Quality and Safety:
    • Champion a culture of safety on the project site, ensuring all activities align with company safety protocols and local regulations.
    • Lead all aspects of the implementation of a robust quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) program.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify adherence to quality standards.

Delineation of Responsibilities: Global vs. Local PM

  • Global PM: Focuses on strategic oversight, global integration, and risk management. Provides guidance and direction to the local PM.
  • Local PM: Handles day-to-day construction activities, coordinates with subcontractors, and ensures adherence to project plans and schedules. Reports to the Global PM.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in project management, preferably within the semiconductor or high-tech construction industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex construction projects on time and within budget.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI) and standard processes.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Experience with contract management and risk mitigation strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and a dedication to a safe work environment.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$101,000.00 - $210,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
